MY FIRST PUBLISHED CHILDREN’S BOOK

This started as a book for my youngest granddaughter and a word of advice here to any budding grandparent … never start something like this unless you’re willing to repeat the process if need be. I started it ‘four’ grandchildren ago (See my ‘BLOG’ – A FAMILY STORY – First grandchild – a penguin – and a love story). At the time I hadn’t considered that I might have more grandchildren, and in fairness, what you do for the first grandchild you must do for any others that might come along.

This is my fourth children’s book written for my youngest granddaughter, a bubbly confident little soul, whom I love very much. She has an adventure on Eel Pie Island, saving squirrels and fighting the wicked Mr Ibigor (don’t all good stories have a ‘baddy’ somewhere!)

Fantastic chapter book that my daughter loves to read to herself. It’s also her new bedtime favourite for me to read to her.
It starts when Martha accidentally kicks a stone onto JJ’s head (a girl she doesn’t know), the thrilling adventure starts immediately and doesn’t finish until the very last page. This book’s got everything my daughter loves – adventure, excitement, family, friendship and courage.
A great read.
Thoroughly recommended.
